The West Valley Country Music Association is currently accepting submissions for its fifth annual Songwriters/Contest/Showcase.
The showcase will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 15 at the Glendale Library, 5959 W. Brown St., Glendale.
The entry deadline is Aug. 31. Songs will be judged on originality, lyrics, music and marketability. There will be cash prizes for the first-, second- and third-place winners.
