— (MST, UTC-07) — (MST, UTC-07)
Come celebrate songwriting at this free, unique and inspiring day of workshops, performances of original songs, and networking. The 28th annual Arizona Songwriters Gathering will be held 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25 at the Glendale Public Library, 5959 W. Brown St.
Join fellow songwriters and music enthusiasts to enjoy over 120 live music performances that will occur throughout the day across four stages; open song-sharing circles where participants can bring their voices and instruments; and song critique sessions to continue developing your body of work.
Workshops and lectures presented by industry experts will cover a broad range of topics, including copyright, the impact of artificial intelligence in the industry, melody writing, turning stories into song, and digital audio workstations—and much more!
Food trucks will be on-site for attendees to purchase food and beverages. The Arizona Commission on the Arts supports the event, funded by the State of Arizona and the National Endowment for the Arts, with support and sponsorship from Barnett Productions.
