The 28th annual Arizona Songwriters Gathering, presented by the Arizona Songwriters Association, will be held 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25 at the Glendale Main Library, 5959 W. Brown St., Glendale.
Join fellow songwriters and music enthusiasts to enjoy over 120 live music performances that will occur throughout the day across four stages; open song-sharing circles where participants can bring their voices and instruments; and song critique sessions to continue developing your body of work. Hit songwriter Jeff Dayton will perform the closing concert.
Food trucks will be on-site for attendees to purchase food and beverages. The Arizona Commission on the Arts supports the event, funded by the State of Arizona and the National Endowment for the Arts, with support and sponsorship from Barnett Productions.
Workshops and lectures presented by industry experts will cover a broad range of topics, including copyright, the impact of artificial intelligence in the industry, melody writing, turning stories into song, and the basics of recording with digital audio workstations — and much more!
The Arizona Songwriters Association has offered help and support to songwriters since 1977.
Their goal is to offer writers the opportunity to learn more about the craft and business of songwriting through monthly workshops, educational programs, song pitch/critique sessions, networking opportunities, and meetings with producers, song pluggers, publishers, and other music business professionals from Arizona, Los Angeles and Nashville.
