Publisher meeting

 — (MST, UTC-07) — (MST, UTC-07)

Fiddler's Dream Coffee House , 1702 E Glendale Ave., Phoenix

We are excited to announce our first in-person Publisher meeting since Covid!

Nashville Publisher Steve Bloch

Nashville publisher, consultant and song plugger STEVE BLOCH has been listening to and pitching songs in Nashville for over two decades. His own boutique publishing company, Southern Cow Music, has garnered cuts with Faith Hill, Lee Ann Womack, Lee Greenwood, Randy Houser, and Rebecca Lynn Howard. As an independent song plugger, Steve has gotten cuts with Kenny Chesney, Hank Jr., Tracy Byrd, Clay Walker, Lila McCann and John Berry.

If you have a song for Steve to hear/critique, have it ready on CD or MP3. Lyric sheet is mandatory! Come early to sign in.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE VENUE IS REQUIRING THAT ALL GUESTS WEAR A MASK.

Members: $20 Non-Members: $30 Annual ASA Membership: $25

STEVE IS LOOKING FOR: Aside from pitching to the Nashville country community at large as an independent publisher, and working independently with VP of A&R Doug Johnson of Black River Entertainment (Kelsea Ballerini, Josiah Siska, MaRynn Taylor, Pryor Baird and Scotty Hastings), Steve has been tasked to listen to songs for Dolly Parton’s producer and Music Supervisor Kent Wells of Kent Well Productions. Kent also produces Tanya Tucker. From Steve:
"Priority-wise, I am currently looking hard for Black River artist Josiah Siska (young, single, rural Georgia, Waylon meets Luke Combs...please look him up), Scotty Hastings (vet whose purpose is to uplift veterans…though songs don’t have to have military images in them), Dolly (something that is consistent with the inclusive legacy she wants to leave…could lean more pop than you might think) and vintage Tanya. “I’m ALWAYS in need of great country songs…all tempos and themes welcome but, as always, I’m partial to something with a nod to the heart, characters that matter, and a contribution to the listener’s life. A great song trumps the ‘right pitch’ every time.”

STEVE WILL ALSO BE AVAILABLE FOR ONE-ON-ONE CONSULTATIONS WHILE HE IS IN TOWN on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, March 6-8. 50 minutes: $75. Steve also offers Zoom or phone consultations. For more info and/or appt. contact Steve at: steveblochmusic@gmail.com.
